My scuba diving experience in the Blue Hole at Dahab was absolutely unforgettable! This iconic site features stunning turquoise waters and vibrant coral reefs, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced divers.
The dive shop we chose provided excellent gear and transportation, and our guides were knowledgeable and focused on safety. The visibility was outstanding, allowing us to see schools of colorful fish and even a couple of sea turtles. The highlight was diving through the famous arch at 26 meters, a thrilling experience for those comfortable with deeper dives.
After our dives, we relaxed on the beach, enjoying fresh juices and sharing stories with fellow divers. Overall, the Blue Hole offers an exceptional underwater adventure that I highly recommend. I can't wait to return!... Show More

The entry point known as "Bells" offers a unique diving experience as it begins with a small crack in the reef-table that extends underwater like a chimney, reaching a depth of 28 meters. This crack can be exited at any depth, providing flexibility for divers. As you descend, you will be surrounded by coral formations on both sides, while the vast expanse of the blue sea lies ahead of you. Upon reaching your maximum depth, you will turn to the right and follow a magnificent wall adorned with coral overhangs, teeming with an abundance of Red Sea fish. Gradually, your dive will lead you to shallower waters, culminating in the splendid coral saddle that marks the entry point to the famous Blue Hole, situated at around 7 meters.
For technical divers, the Blue Hole itself is a notable feature. It is a hole in the reef, approximately 56 meters wide, with a maximum depth ranging from 90 to 120 meters. The highlight of the Blue Hole is the archway, located at 56 meters, which leads out into the seemingly bottomless open sea. Finding the arch is crucial, and it is important to note that it is not directly below the coral saddle. Instead, it is on the eastern side of the site, rather than the southern side. Care must be taken to descend at the correct spot, as the reef curves around and the arch may not be visible. Attempting to locate the arch at depth is not advisable. One strategy to find the arch is to descend to 30 meters on the western side of the Blue Hole, where a sandy gully can be found. Following this gully will eventually lead you to the arch. As you approach the arch, a blue glow will become visible at 52 meters, but it is important to descend another 4-5 meters to cross the arch seamlessly, as the roof of the arch is actually located at 55 meters. The arch itself is an impressive 26-meter long and 25-meter wide hole, and having a torch with you is recommended for proper exploration. It is worth noting that occasional strong downward currents can be experienced at the exit of the arch, so it is wise to plan and prepare for such circumstances by creating an "if-then" scenario and following it diligently....
