My recent dive at Eel Gardens in Dahab was nothing short of magical! Known for its stunning underwater landscapes and vibrant marine life, this dive site did not disappoint.
As we descended, the sandy bottom was dotted with countless garden eels swaying gracefully in the current, creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The sight of these eels popping in and out of their burrows was truly enchanting and unique to this location.
The coral formations surrounding the gardens were equally impressive, with a rich variety of colorful corals and marine species. We encountered schools of fish, including butterflyfish and parrotfish, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. The visibility was excellent, allowing us to fully appreciate the beauty of the underwater world.
The gentle currents made this dive suitable for divers of all skill levels, and our guide was knowledgeable and focused on safety, ensuring we made the most of our experience. ... Show More

Eel Gardens is a dive site that truly lives up to its name, thanks to the countless garden eels carpeting the sea floor near the entry point. After a short walk over the reef plate, you reach a stunning nine-meter canyon that opens up into a spacious sandy area, gently sloping downwards.
As you dive alongside a jutting reef that runs perpendicular to the main reef, the garden eels slowly come into view, swaying gracefully in the current like synchronized swimmers. It’s a mesmerizing sight, especially as they retreat back into the sand as you approach.
Descending to about 20 meters, you’ll discover a nearly flat section of reef adorned with coral boulders and several impressive table corals. It’s a common sight to encounter a thick school of barracudas patrolling the area, adding an exhilarating touch to the dive.
On your way back up, at depths of around 5 to 10 meters, you’ll be treated to a vibrant display of healthy corals, both soft and hard, showcasing a rich variety of marine life. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive sea grass ghost pipefish, which can occasionally be spotted in this area.
Overall, Eel Gardens is a captivating dive site that offers a unique blend of beautiful corals and fascinating marine life. Whether you’re an experienced diver or a novice, this site is a must-visit during your time in Dahab! I can’t wait to dive here again!... Show More
