I recently had the chance to dive at Far Garden, and it was a spectacular experience! Located at the southernmost end of the bay, this dive is usually planned as a full drift dive, which adds an extra layer of excitement to the adventure.
As we began our descent, we were greeted by a narrow plateau adorned with impressive, thick upright coral formations that nearly reach the surface. The sight of vibrant Anthias fish darting around the corals was stunning and set the tone for what was to come.
From the plateau, we drifted along a steep wall that was absolutely teeming with life. The combination of soft and hard corals created a mesmerizing underwater landscape. As we explored, we kept our eyes peeled for some incredible marine creatures. We were fortunate enough to spot eagle rays, batfish, snapper, turtles, and even barracuda! Each sighting felt like a special gift from the ocean.
Towards the end of our dive, the wall gradually transitioned into a coral garden, which was the perfect spot for our safety stop. Here, we enjoyed searching for leopard blennies hiding among the shallow fire corals. Watching porcupine puffer fish playfully chase each other around was both entertaining and endearing.
The diversity of marine life in Far Garden is truly impressive. This area is not only rich in smaller fish but is also a channel for larger creatures like Manta Rays and Whale Sharks, making it a must-visit for any diver looking for an unforgettable experience.
Overall, I highly recommend diving at Far Garden. The vibrant corals, the abundance of marine life, and the thrill of a drift dive make it an exhilarating adventure. I can't wait to return and explore this underwater paradise again!... Show More

Far Garden is a beautiful house reef located in the northernmost part of a stunning bay just north of Naama Bay. With its diverse coral formations and unique configuration, it is often referred to as an underwater hanging garden. Unlike other spots in the bay, Far Garden features large coral pinnacles between the reef ledge and the gradually steepening drop-off towards the east. The current, which typically flows eastward, becomes stronger near the headland. Dive enthusiasts can look forward to encountering gorgonian fans, lionfish, glassfish, and even mantas and turtles. Suitable for all levels, this dive site has a depth range of 5-45 meters.... Show More
