Diving at Jackfish Alley in Ras Mohammed was one of the highlights of my diving experience! This site offers an incredible combination of features: a stunning wall, a vibrant coral garden, and an intriguing satellite reef.
The sheer wall is fascinating, filled with numerous small crevices and a couple of penetrable caves, each with distinct entrances and exits. Exploring these caves was an exhilarating experience, revealing hidden marine life within the nooks. As we moved along, we encountered a sandy plateau where we spotted Blue Spotted Sting Rays, Feather Tail Rays, and even majestic Eagle Rays gliding gracefully by.
The coral garden, ranging from 10 to 18 meters, is a riot of color, leading us to the satellite reef about 50 meters away. This reef features small pinnacles adorned with soft corals and Gorgonian Fans, creating a picturesque underwater landscape. For those seeking a bit of thrill, the drop-off at the edge of the satellite reef usually brings stronger currents, attracting larger marine creatures that come to feed.
Overall, Jackfish Alley is a must-dive site for anyone visiting Ras Mohammed. Its diverse features and abundant marine life make it an unforgettable adventure! ... Show More

This site is known as Jackfish Alley, taking its name from the sandy pathway that runs between the coral ledge along the coast and a neighboring satellite reef. This area is a favorite hangout for Jackfish and other predators. Previously known as Fisherman's Bank, Jackfish Alley is located south of Ras Za'atar. To explore this dive site, you'll need to plan for a drift dive experience. Keep an eye out for the stunning Gorgonians, graceful stingrays, lively trevally, shimmering Glass fish, and vibrant triggerfish. And if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a majestic Whitetip reef shark.... Show More
