My recent night dive at the Lighthouse in Dahab was an exhilarating and unforgettable experience! As someone who had never dived at night before, I was both excited and a bit nervous, but the dive turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip.
The atmosphere at the Lighthouse as the sun set was magical. Our dive guide provided a thorough briefing, ensuring everyone felt comfortable with the plan and equipment. Once we submerged, the underwater world transformed into a vibrant spectacle of colors and life that is simply not visible during the day.
With our flashlights illuminating the reef, we were greeted by a dazzling array of nocturnal marine life. The corals seemed to glow, and we encountered an abundance of creatures, including lionfish, octopus, and sleeping parrotfish tucked away in the coral. The majestic sight of bioluminescent plankton swirling around us added an enchanting touch to the dive.
The visibility was surprisingly good, and the calm waters made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Diving in a small group allowed us to explore at our own pace while our guide pointed out fascinating marine life and shared insights about the ecosystem. ... Show More

I recently had the incredible opportunity to experience a night dive at the Lighthouse dive site in Dahab, and it was absolutely unforgettable! Located at the northern end of Dahab Bay, this site is perfect for divers of all levels, making it a popular choice for both training and leisurely swims.
As we suited up and prepared for the dive, I was excited to explore the unique features of the Lighthouse. The sandy bottom slopes gradually, creating easy entry and exit points that are sheltered from the wind, which is a huge plus for night diving. The site even offers a buoyancy park for training, complete with whimsical underwater props—including an impressive elephant made of old junk!
Once submerged, the experience was magical. As we glided over the sandy bottom covered with seagrass, we took our time to search for seahorses and seamoths, often found in pairs. The thrill of spotting these fascinating creatures added to the adventure. Following the reef wall to the north, we discovered large coral-covered pinnacles teeming with marine life. It felt like swimming in an underwater wonderland!
One of the highlights of the dive was spotting a Spanish dancer for the first time. Watching these graceful creatures glide through the water was mesmerizing! We also encountered a resident turtle, along with vibrant unicorn fish, seabream, morays, and even rays gliding effortlessly around us.
As we continued past the towering pinnacles, we reached a beautiful coral garden adorned with a large fan coral. The colors and life surrounding us were breathtaking. On our ascent, we found a small lagoon area where crocodile fish lay camouflaged on the sandy bottom, perfectly blending in with their surroundings.
The Lighthouse dive site offers a unique experience that I would recommend doing multiple times, exploring different depths and directions each time. The combination of stunning marine life, friendly atmosphere, and the thrill of night diving made this an adventure I will cherish forever. I can’t wait to return for another dive at the Lighthouse! Highly recommended!... Show More
