Quay Dive site in Ras Mohamed National Park is a hidden gem that many instructors are not familiar with. It is a secret spot that remains relatively unknown. I had the incredible opportunity to dive there twice, accompanied by my friend and instructor Pavel Menshikov. This exclusive location does not have a map or any information available online.
One of the most thrilling aspects of diving at Quay is the drift dive experience. However, be prepared for potential strong currents in this area. As you explore the underwater landscape, you will encounter a stunning drop-off and beautiful pinnacles. Keep a lookout, as it is not uncommon to spot various shark species, including white tip sharks and grey tip reef sharks.
After crossing the sandy area, you will be immersed in a world of vibrant table corals. Swimming amongst these fascinating formations is a magical experience. As you continue your dive, you will come across a significant feature at a depth of 12 meters – a large container that was dropped by a cargo ship. This container has become a haven for an abundance of marine life, boasting an array of captivating and soft colors.
