Diving at The Caves was an unforgettable experience that showcased the beauty of the underwater world in a unique way. The entry is quite exhilarating, requiring a giant stride off the ledge into the deep blue water. It’s important to note that this dive is best enjoyed in calm conditions; the waves can create a tricky entrance, but once you’re in, it’s absolutely worth it.
As you descend, the cave reveals itself directly below, and you’re immediately greeted by the stunning shallow reefs on either side. The vibrant underwater landscape is a feast for the eyes, with both soft and hard corals flourishing around the cave. The marine life is just as impressive; I encountered large groupers, scorpionfish, and moray eels, and even had the thrill of spotting a tiger shark lurking in the distance!
Entering the cave itself is magical. Swimming to the back and turning around, you’re treated to a breathtaking view of light streaming through, illuminating the swarms of anthias and bannerfish swimming gracefully on the ceiling. It’s an ideal spot for a safety stop, allowing you to soak in the beauty of your surroundings while catching your breath.

My recent dive at The Caves was absolutely breathtaking! The entry to the dive site involves an exhilarating giant stride off the ledge into the deep blue waters. While the waves can make it a bit challenging, our dive team ensured we had ideal conditions for a safe descent.
As soon as I hit the water, the thrill began. The cave lies directly beneath, and the surrounding shallow reef on both sides is equally stunning. The vibrant soft and hard corals create an enchanting underwater landscape that truly captivates you. Throughout the dive, I encountered large groupers, scorpionfish, and morays, all adding to the excitement. I even heard whispers of tiger sharks being seen nearby—what a rush!
One of the highlights was entering the cave itself. As I swam to the back, I turned to see light streaming through, illuminating swarms of anthias and bannerfish gracefully swimming upside down on the ceiling. It was a mesmerizing sight and the perfect spot for our safety stop—a wonderful way to relax and soak in the beauty of the underwater world!
The unique features of the cave combined with the rich marine life make this dive site a must-visit for anyone in Dahab. I highly recommend The Caves for divers seeking an unforgettable adventure. I can't wait to go back and explore it again!... Show More
