Park at Dania Beach Pier if before/after hours, or if during open hours you can alternatively use the epically-named Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park. From the pier head north, from the State park head south. Identify the wooden dowel shore marker, located in the seagrass on the bluff, that is marked with "jax" (there are multiple dowels, not all are marked with "jax"). Depending on current, enter water N or S of marker (usually I enter S of marker). Kick out approximately 50 m (~1/2 pier length if using pier as visual reference point) before first erojax can be found. Jax density starts sparse and then increases to a thick linear pile that runs until a ledge that starts ~1.5 pier lengths from shore. Always have a flag. Watch for boats.
