Insta360 GO Ultra: Small Camera, Big Performance

Insta360 has just launched the GO Ultra, the latest evolution of its ultra-compact action camera line. Designed to be worn, clipped, or mounted almost anywhere, the GO Ultra blends portability with serious performance upgrades. For snorkelers, it means capturing smooth, high-quality footage without being weighed down by bulky gear.

What makes this release stand out is how much Insta360 has managed to pack into a camera no bigger than a thumb. It’s waterproof out of the box, lasts longer on a single charge, and supports swappable microSD cards. Pair it with the included Action Pod, and you get an extended runtime, a flip-up touchscreen for live preview, and remote control.

Key Features

  • Waterproof to 33 ft (10 m) without a case.
  • Extended battery life: up to 70 minutes standalone, or 200 minutes with the Action Pod.
  • Fast charging: 80% power in 12 minutes.
  • Swappable storage: microSD cards up to 2 TB.
  • Larger 1/1.28″ sensor with AI-powered image processing for better low-light performance.
  • Magnetic mounts & accessories for hands-free POV shots.

Normally, such vivid colouring would make survival harder in the wild—but this shark reached adulthood, challenging assumptions about how pigmentation mutations affect marine life. Researchers now wonder whether this is a one-off anomaly or a sign of hidden genetic variations in the region’s waters.
