Dive Shops & Sites added for Grenada

🌓 Known as the ā€œIsland of Spiceā€ and ā€œShipwreck Capital of the Caribbeanā€, Grenada offers some of the best diving in the region. With amazing shipwrecks, colorful reefs, exciting drift dives and underwater sculpture parks, Grenada has some of the most unique dive sites in the Caribbean.

⛓ Grenada offers an extensive collection of ā€˜novice-friendly’ wrecks for divers to explore that sit in shallow to medium depths. Advanced divers can also explore the Bianca C. The 600 foot cruise liner is known as the largest wreck in the Caribbean and sits between 90 and 167 feet.

šŸ—æ The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is a unique underwater art gallery located off the coast of Grenada. The sculpture park was created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor in 2006 and features a collection of more than 65 life-sized sculptures, which are made from materials that promote the growth of coral and other marine organisms. The sculptures were designed to be submerged in shallow water, making them accessible to snorkelers and divers of all levels.

Coral Disease Outbreak on Bonaire’s reefs

Bonaire's reefs are currently experiencing an outbreak of suspected Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD). This highly contagious disease affects corals, leading to the loss of tissue and eventually killing the entire coral. The cause of the disease is still under investigation.

How you can help:

  • Decontaminate your gear before your first dive on Bonaire and at the end of each day of diving.
  • Dive only in one area (North, South) per day to limit potential spread.
  • Avoid all areas that are marked red or orange listed on the infected area map.
