This is a popular spot for dive training. The area around the pond is scenic and is also frequented by fishers and swimmers. Entry is done by shore, and there multiple spots that are easy to enter from. Depths in the pond vary generally from 20 to 30 feet. The deeper sections of the quarry have a thermocline, and can be quite cold throughout the year. Platforms are available for training and there is a wrecked truck underwater.
