Wreck of the Conestoga

The Conestoga sits just east of the town of Cardinal. The wreck is relatively intact with lots to see, making for a fun dive. A chain is positioned along the north side of the wreck, allowing divers to pull themselves, rather than swim against the current. Depth on this dive maxes out at about 20 to 25 feet, depending on the water level of the St. Lawrence. The dive is friendly for beginners and the moderate current provides a good introduction to diving in the St. Lawrence.
