Dive Shop Icon Deefer Diving, Carriacou

Venturing to Grenada on multiple occasions for thrilling diving experiences, I received compelling recommendations to explore Carricaou and dive with Deefer Divers. Upon reaching out to book my dive holiday, the team proved exceptionally helpful, presenting a diverse array of dive and stay packages that catered to various preferences and budgets. The booking process was remarkably straightforward, and they went above and beyond by facilitating the ferry journey from Grenada to Carricaou, along with seamless transfers from the ferry to the hotel. Upon arrival, the strategically located Rosa's guest house, conveniently situated next to the dive shop, exceeded expectations. The Deefer Divers team displayed exceptional helpfulness and infectious friendliness, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the outset. Nora, the dive master, orchestrated a series of mesmerizing macro-focused dives that added a unique and unforgettable dimension to the experience. Her knowledge of the local marine life and underwater landscapes was truly impressive, enhancing the overall diving adventure. The entire Deefer Divers team showcased a fantastic blend of professionalism and camaraderie. Whether assisting with gear setup, providing safety briefings, or sharing their passion for marine conservation, their commitment to ensuring a memorable and enjoyable diving experience was evident. The positive and inclusive atmosphere they fostered made every dive feel like a shared adventure among friends. One notable aspect that stood out was the excellent condition of the rental gear. Deefer Divers takes pride in maintaining their equipment, ensuring that divers can focus on the underwater wonders rather than worrying about the reliability of their gear. This attention to detail speaks volumes about the shop's commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. My experience with Deefer Divers in Carricaou was nothing short of extraordinary. Every aspect exceeded my expectations, from the seamless booking process to the warm hospitality, mesmerizing dives, and well-maintained equipment. I am confident that, on my next visit to Carricaou, my first choice for diving will undoubtedly be Deefer Divers. Highly recommended for both seasoned divers and those embarking on their underwater adventures for the first time, Deefer Divers truly stands out as a dive paradise in the heart of Grenada.... Dive Shop Icon Dive Bequia, Bequia

The moment I stepped into Dive Bequia's dive center, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. The diving sites around Bequia are truly breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life far exceeded my expectations. With Dive Bequia's experienced DM's leading the way, I felt safe and secure as I explored the wonders of the underwater world. They also moved at good pace for videographers and photographers. Whether I was swimming alongside majestic sea turtles, marveling at the kaleidoscope of coral formations, or encountering a diverse array of marine species, each dive was a unique and unforgettable experience.... Dive Shop Icon Dive St. Vincent, Arnos Vale

For many years, I have heard from numerous scuba divers that Saint Vincent was the ultimate destination for encountering macro marine life in the Caribbean. I finally had the opportunity to set foot on this picturesque island, and my experience met all expectations. After careful deliberation, I contacted Dive St. Vincent to explore their dive and lodging packages. Without delay, Jackie, the Reservations Manager, swiftly responded with a range of accommodation choices. Conveniently, the dive shop is close to several excellent hotels, most of which are within walking distance. The dive and stay package I opted for encompassed a comprehensive package: airport transfers, accommodation, breakfast provisions, and 5-morning 2-tank dives. I couldn't have chosen a better week to embark on this diving adventure with the Dive St. Vincent team. Most days, I shared the underwater realm with just one other diver. Our mutual proficiency in air management allowed us to extend our dives to an impressive 60-75 minutes each. The dive guides, DJ and Callie, took turns guiding us through the depths. With decades of experience navigating the waters of St. Vincent, their expertise was genuinely remarkable. Notably, they both carried slates for instant identification, an invaluable touch! Scuba diving in St. Vincent proved to be a captivating experience. The reefs are very healthy. Every nook and cranny within the grass, sand, and rubble holds the potential for discovering tiny critters. Following just one dive, the moniker "Critter Capital of the Caribbean" for St. Vincent becomes entirely justified. Throughout the week, our encounters included sightings of Shrimp, Octopus, Nudibranchs, Batfish, and an array of other captivating creatures. While most dives were facilitated from a moored boat, a standout feature was the extraordinary muck dive available right off the dock on the house reef. The experience of diving in a new location inevitably carries an element of unease. It's crucial to have dive guides who possess an in-depth understanding of the dive sites, prioritize safety, and are readily available to assist in the event of any challenges. The Dive St. Vincent team went above and beyond, ensuring a seamless and gratifying experience during each of my dives. I am immensely grateful and eagerly anticipate future dive trips to St. Vincent.... Show More Aug. 18, 2023

Dive Shop Icon Siladen Dive Resort & Spa, Siladen

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Siladen Dive Resort and Spa, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This dive resort and spa is truly a gem, offering a seamless and efficient operation that caters to divers' every need. One aspect that stood out to me was the dive team's expertise and their remarkable ability to select dive sites based on divers' requests. They ensured a perfect balance between exploring the intricate world of tiny creatures like nudibranchs and encountering magnificent beings such as turtles and sharks. Each dive was a unique adventure, leaving us in awe of the marine life we encountered. The resort offers three to four dives daily, including night dives. The convenience of having a dedicated area with individual cubicles for divers' gear was truly appreciated. The well-ventilated space allowed our equipment to dry quickly, ensuring a hassle-free experience throughout our stay. Moreover, the separate camera room with multiple workstations and charging ports provided a haven for underwater photographers, allowing them to manage their gear comfortably. One of the most delightful aspects of our stay was the staff's warmth and friendliness. The entire Siladen Dive Resort and Spa team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and meet our every need. From the moment we arrived, their attentive and professional service made us feel like part of the dive community. They were always ready to answer our questions, offer helpful tips, and share their extensive knowledge of the surrounding marine life. In addition to the exceptional diving experience, the resort's culinary offerings were truly outstanding. The food surpassed our expectations with its exquisite flavors and variety. From fresh seafood delicacies to tantalizing local dishes, every meal was a treat for the taste buds. Overall, Siladen Dive Resort and Spa exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Dive Shop Icon Crystal Blue Resort, Anilao

Great place for critter hunting! Dive guide ratio is about 2 or 3 divers to 1 guide. Guides are skilled at finding small creatures and are happy to point them out to divers. They operate a fleet of small boats and go out several times per day, including night and black water dives. Plenty of space to store and dry your gear. Plus, there is a dedicated camera room with individual stations for all guests. The attached resort caters to primarily divers. The resort is on a steep hill and there are a lot of steps to get to the dining room, bar, and dive deck. This might not be ideal for divers who have mobility issues.... Show More Mar. 31, 2023

Dive Shop Icon Fuhvahmulah Dive, Fuvahmulah

The reason divers visit Fuvahmulah is for their resident population of Tiger Sharks. The sharks visit an area in front of the fishing port. Dives are baited and controlled. However, the shop offers daily blue water dives where you can see large creatures like Mantas, Thresher Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Sailfish, and much more. The dive shop is well run, and they can help with domestic transfers from the international airport along with day and stay packages.... Show More Mar. 31, 2023

Dive Shop Icon Captain Don's Habitat, Bonaire

Captain Don’s is located 5-10 minutes from town. The facilities are well-maintained. The food was good. And the dive shop’s staff were friendly and operated with a safety first approach. They always had an ample amount of tanks available for diving 24/7. The house reef is full of sea life. There are a few resident Seahorses and Octopuses. The boat schedule is quite convenient and runs on time. There are also lockers for your gear on the dock. My room was well-maintained and I had oceanfront views. The studio apt was quite spacious and included a mini-refrigerator. The balcony was large and has shelving to hang gear for drying.... Show More Sep. 29, 2018

Dive Flag Kokomo, Curacao

Kokomo is pretty easy to drive to from the downtown hotel district. There is plenty of parking. Finding a safe spot to set up dive gear was effortless. There is an abundant amount of sea life along the reef. I saw plenty of healthy corals, anemones, tiny shrimp, nudibranch, wrasses, trunkfish, trumpetfish, grunts and more. Navigating the reef is pretty straight forward - wade 50ft or so out and the reef runs parallel to the shore. Visibility was crystal clear - 100ft+ in November and a 3mil worked perfectly - I probably didn't need it. There is a on-premise beach cafe which makes standard beach food - burger, wings, chips, etc. and sells cold beer for post dive hydration - LOL!... Show More Mar. 6, 2018
