Playa Franz

Did this site twice, both times the drive was not for the faint of heart. Definitely a truck or 4X4 is needed from the BOPEC north. The good news is that nobody else is there usually. There were several Bonairians, in one of the houses once. Never felt that there was a danger of theft. We usually have a shore lunch and beer after the last dive and do some snorkeling. Reef is great but a few lionfish, I think due to the inaccessibility of the site.

Excellent dive; tough travel to get there but worth the effort. Several entrances that can be used; A bit of a tricky swim out through shallow rocks and coral, but at depth the dive is excellent.

This site is in great shape , seems like a fishing harbour? shallow swim out then gets deep can go north or south coral is awesome fish life is good, we saw lots of large lionfish.
water temp 81F our Max depth was 70 feet but you could go much deeper.... Show More
