Our group dove this site several times while on the Island. On a calm day the entry is very easy as there is literally '2 steps' down into the ocean. If the sea is rough be careful here and help each other getting in and out of the water to avoid getting pushed into the lava rock and potentially damaging your gear or injuring yourself. This is a popular spot for tourists since there is also good snorkeling here so be prepared to wait your turn to use the entry into the water. The dive is very nice with a healthy reef and lots of marine life we saw Turtles on most of our dives here. There is also a nice wall to explore. This is one of the best shore dives on the Big Island in my opinion.... Show More

It really is 2 steps and you're in, it can be a bit tricky on the way out. Always send a confident person in first to check exit difficulty, and have them stay there to assist the other divers. It is a good dive with lots of coral and sea life. If you go out to the ALOHA there is a nice wall of plate coral.... Show More

Easy to intermediate entry depending on the waves. Temperature around 77 degrees. Visibility around 50 feet. The word "Aloha" is written in bricks on the bottom in the sand- looks cool! Saw several friendly turtles, Guinea foul puffer, Picasso Tiger Fish, and a large File Fish swimming with a school of Jack Fish. ... Show More
